About the Journal

CROATICA CHEMICA ACTA (abbrev.: Croat. Chem. Acta) is an international journal dedicated to the publication of papers from all fields of chemistry. The journal publishes four issues annually. It has been published since 1927 by the Croatian Chemical Societywith the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, and the Ruđer Bošković Institute, Zagreb as co-publishers.

Editor-in-Chief: It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our longtime (2015–2025) Editor-in-Chief, Prof. emerita Olga Kronja, who passed away on November 29, 2025. Professor Kronja was an esteemed member of the Department of Organic Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, University of Zagreb

Acting Editor-in-Chief is currently Professor Vladislav Tomišić, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb.

All Issues published since 1950 are available online, free of charge and are archived at the Hrčak, a common platform for Croatian open access journals, managed by the University Computing Centre SRCE.
